Merry Christmas, friends! Made out like a fat cat, as usual. So many wonderful gifts from wonderful people. I look forward to finally playing Way of the Samurai 3 on my new svelte Playstation Triple!

Usually i make a list, but some of this stuff is so visually appealing that to not photograph it instead is a crime. Just wait!

And now i get to finish off a wonderful day by working, which is probably the best way to spend a holiday.

The tradition went that every Christmas Eve, my brother would sleep in my room so that i might watch after him and thus regulate (much like Warren G) the sleep of every one else in the house - we all now how hard it is for a young boy to remain in bed on Christmas morning - but the best present a mother can receive, i think, is to sleep in an extra couple of hours. So, the morning of the 25th would be spent trying to placate him with our morning stockings, which we tore apart in my bedroom prior to heading downstairs in a beeline for the tree. Of course, there was usually an hour or so before that of waiting in the light of the DVD menu of A Christmas Story, playing and replaying on my TV, or listening to music.

One year, he was being particularly antsy, and getting fed up with the music i'd been playing on my laptop at the time. So i finally said to him, "After this song, we'll go and wake up mom and open presents. One more song." And that was sufficient for him.

So i played Symphony X's The Odyssey.

Ugnh...

I can't play Mass Effect on my PC without it crashing, which is problematic. I don't know if it's solely Mass Effect or if my poor PC has regressed back to an earlier state that some of you might remember, called "let's crash all the time". Hopefully James will let me borrow his XBox360 again come the end of January. I would really like to play this.

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat.

Speaking of, someone recommend me some PS3 games that i might have missed. I have a "feeling" i'll be playing them again sometime soon. I already pre-ordered Darksiders and will pick up Way of the Samurai 3 soon. Maybe Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2.

Now i guess i'll drink some juice.

Employee Christmas party last night, and Seth Gingo after party following that featuring Teddy and Steve. And too much Goddamned alcohol.

Going to work on my day off. Never been happier!

Well, in further adventures in the amateur diagnosis of my supposed shopping addiction, i bought a sweater (did you know there was a color called "blood marl"?) and two scarves. So, that's pretty sweet.

Also, i finished Dragon Age: Origins earlier this week and it's easily my Game of the Year. Cool! Replaying as a dwarf, this time. Also, i should probably buy Left 4 Dead 2 already before i miss the train entirely. Early adoption, motherfuckers!

I think if i ever ended up cutting my hair, i'd have a sweet pompadour instead.

I just finished Dragon Age: Origins. So fucking good. Some honestly surprising twists and overall pretty grim for what's essentially a genre filled with levity. Especially in the final "dungeon" of the game. I won't spoil it, it's fucking awesome. Also: Loghain is such a huge dickhead, but Goddamn does his voice actor do a Hell of a job during those [spoilerific] scenes.

I need an enormous favor from any artistically inclined friends of mine here. I'm making a special little treat for a close buddy in honor of our frequent and usually messy annual fete and i'm in desperate need of a fancy, yet personal (read: custom) seal or sigil or device that would generally be stamped upon or affixed to a letter patent or letter of marque or what the fuck EVER that would just add that certain je ne sais quoi. Doesn't have to look super-great - something simple is key. In a perfect world, i would've had one made myself and gotten my own personal fucking rubber stamp or some shit, but as i need it within the space of one (1) week, constraints prevent me from all but the most expedient solutions. Well, i guess technically that would be to just find a reasonable replacement somewhere in cyberspace, so i guess second-most.

Anyway, for a real update, all i do is work and dream of not doing that. So, basically half of what i've been doing for my whole life. I wish i could play Demon's Souls.
