So, apart from work (which is pretty okay, to be fair) i've been fucking around with Sword of the New World. Now that i have a fancy new computer, and despite some incredibly infuriating issues with Vista and NVidia display drivers, i finally get a chance to play all of those games i had to miss out on in the past. It's a pretty good game, but for every victory you get in aesthetics and setting, you lose something in...well, pretty much everything else. The game looks great, character and world design are just plain lovely, but despite "localization" it still plays like a free Korean MMO. I'll probably fool around for a while, i guess. I do want to finally pick up an XBox 360 this month, with the sheer deluge of games coming this season (Tales of Vesperia and Infinite Undiscovery at the tail end of summer, for instance).

These are the best places to get info! It's your typical Korean MMO, but with some neat little twists, namely the MCC party system (that lets you basically create three characters to use at once instead of one). Other than that, to be fair, being pretty is sort of all it has going for it above the competition.

My lvl 47 (? actually I can't remember his lvl) Conqueror is called EULOIC and my lvl 5 ranger is a smokin' hottie called ROSCRANA. If you start playing I'll probably make some new hero because I don't like using a bow. I will probably make a guardian. Once you reach around lvl 20 you can get off the newbie island of Tortage and then I can use Euloic and protect us from PKers with my FURIOUS STEEL

IT IS A PRETTY cool game for a while but to be fair i'm already a little bored with it, i just wish there was a game with higher production values with the same sort of setting/aesthetic
